How do I know what ballast bags fit my boat?
The online year, make and model calculator is a great tool for finding what ballast bag fits your boat.
What materials do you use to make your ballast bags?
We use heavy duty industrial layered vinyl material with fiber scrim in the center, very similar to a river raft boat.
Does my boat already have a ballast system?
It is very easy to find out, simply check your manual or look underneath your engine compartment. If you see pumps and hoses connected to water tanks, that is your ballast system!
WHY DON'T YOUR FAT SACS COME WITH CHECK VALVES LIKE OTHERS ON THE MARKET?
We build our Fat Sacs with our customers in mind. It doesn't matter what sacs you're running in what boat... check valve systems choke the flow of water into the sac. It's by design that our sacs, combined with our Tsunami Pump, are the fastest filling ballast bags on the market. Of course you can order our Pro X Series check valve system separately, they're really easy to install. You just have to be willing to wait longer to ride...
MY QUICK CONNECT CAP IS GETTING HARDER TO PUT ON AND TAKE OFF. WHAT CAN I DO?
If the cap (W739) becomes harder to install and remove, just rub a light coat of o-ring grease on the cap. This will also help keep the o-ring in good condition.
do i add more weight to the bow or stern?
Typically it is a 70/30 split with the 70% in the rear. This is of course a rule of thumb depending on your boat model and hull shape this can change slightly.
why does my boat porpoises in the water when taking off?
Typically there is too much weight in the rear and now enough in the bow. Try adding a couple 50 pound metal weights or 155 pound bricks in the front.
What is the difference between a V-drive boat and a Direct-drive boat?
Engine placement. V-Drivers have a rear engine while Direct drive boats engine is in the center.
I have an older boat. Can I still use your ballast bags?
Yes, ballast bags for older boats are even more critical. Weighing your boat can make a huge difference in your wake and make riding and surfing much easier and more fun.
How much weight can I add to my factory ballast system?
As much as you desire within the boats factory designated weight limit.
Do I need to buy a pump to fill my Fat Sac ballast bags?
Yes, a pump is critical to fill and empty your bags with water.
What tools will I need to install a ballast bag?
Typically, no tools are needed! FatSac products come with quick connectors and play style system so you can avoid using tools in most cases!
Do I need to fill my ballast bags to 100% capacity for them to work?
Nope! You can fill your ballast bags up to the preferred level to create your perfect wake!

My SUPA pump stopped working. Is it covered under warranty?
If this is happening within the 1-year warranty we will absolutely warranty this. But, before you send it back we suggest checking the fuse. This is 95% the issue and is a quick simple fix that will keep you out on the water.
Replace your fuse with a 7.5 amp fast acting 12V glass tube fuse located in the tip of the cig adapter and that will should fix your issue.
If this does not work please contact support@fatsac.com
MY TSUNAMI PUMP JUST STOPPED WORKING.
The first thing you should check is the fuse. It's located inside the tip of the cigarette lighter adapter. To remove it, you will either have to unscrew the tip from the adapter, or push the tip in and turn it to align it with the slots. Once aligned, you can pull it out to gain access to the fuse. If you need some more details, please contact support@fatsac.com and we will be happy to help!
